Strategic distribution base supporting Aeon Group operations in Tokyo and Yokohama, the two most populous regions
●This facility is composed of a preexisting building and an expansion wing. The preexisting building, which we intend to lease to The Daiei, Inc., an Aeon Group company, is a five-story building (with four layer warehouse storage) used as a low-temperature controlled distribution center and has a total floor area of 42,743.29 square meters. The third and fourth floors are mainly used as a process center for merchandise processing (classification, packing, price tagging, processing and manufacturing). The first and second floors contain truck berths. This facility, which accommodates cross-dock loading on the first and second floors, is one of the most important strategic distribution bases for Aeon Group.
●The expansion wing, which we intend to lease to a non-Aeon Group third-party tenant, is a low-temperature refrigeration facility with capability for three temperature zones (dry, chilled and frozen).
The strength of the location
●This logistics facility serves as an important strategic distribution base in the Tokyo metropolitan area, located midway between the two populous regions of Tokyo and Yokohama. The facility is a 24-hour fully operating distribution center, and is located close to Haneda Airport, Tokyo Bay and Yokohama Bay.
●The location is within walking distance from JR Tsurumi Line Musashi-Shiraishi Station and accessible via bus from JR Kawasaki Station, making it convenient for employees and also advantageous in terms of securing employment.
●As of October 31, 2014, the facility as a whole delivered products to 174 Aeon Group stores and is one of the most important strategic distribution centers for Aeon Group in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
